53-54 BUICK SKYLARK CLUB

It was a pleasure to visit with you today, as I informed you on May or June 2007 I’ll be hosting an “Annual Meet of 53-54 Buick Skylark Club”. As the name imply this is an annual event, for you information we met in 2004 in Los Angeles, CA, in 2005 we’ll meet in Dayton, OH, in 2006 in Seattle, WA, and of course in 2007 in Miami, FL.

I’ll try to obtain a favorable rate at the Biltmore Hotel as I believe this will be an ideal location to all cars in front of the hotel.

The meeting always starts on a Wednesday and ends on a Sunday morning. On Wednesday everybody checks in and we have a Hospitality Room where everybody gathers to chat and have some drinks. Next day we usually go to a car museum and have lunch at a predetermined location. On Friday we may go to the Keys and have lunch there and at night we probably go to a Cuban restaurant, probably Versailles. On Saturday we can gather at you dealership lets say at 10:00 AM with all cars we should not be there pass 4:00 PM.

At you place we’ll give all participants a plaque (cheap) and we will give out trophies like one for the best 53 and 54. In general we will give out no more that 10 trophies, I’ll know better this year when I attend the meet in Dayton. The trophies will be given out at the banquet at night which should be at the hotel.

Either way I’m grateful for you help on this event as I want my colleagues to keep good memories of Miami, I believe some people will bring their cars mainly from the Northeast and Midwest other will fly in and rent cars. I anticipate no more that 20 cars, I’m referring to 1953 and 1954 Buick Skylarks.

The three days schedule I outline above is very tentative as we have sufficient time to plan the event.

See enclosed pictures of my cars:
1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertible (Same car used on Rain Man movie)
1949 Buick Roadmaster Rivera (2-door hardtop)
1949 Buick Roadmaster Sedanet (2-door fastback, called Torpedo)
1949 Buick Roadmaster Woodie (Estate Wagon) under restoration
1953 Buick Skylark Convertible, under restoration
1954 Buick Skylark Convertible
1990 Buick Reatta Convertible

I trust we can keep in contact and thank you again for your help.

Best regards

Frank L. Garcia
